County and City Enterprise Boards are hosting a national workshop for people over 50 who are thinking of starting their own business, or in the early stages of a start-up. The workshop will be held in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on July 1 and 2.

Entrepreneurs in Westmeath with an innovative business idea can now apply for the New Frontiers 2013 programme commencing in July. Athlone Institute of Technology in partnership with NUI Maynooth will deliver the programme in the Midlands Mid-East region.

Under a new Government scheme, operated by Microfinance Ireland, the owners of ‘micro-enterprises’ and new start-ups can now apply through the Mayo County Enterprise Board for loans of up to €25,000.
